Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-16
This Privacy Policy explains how YPlus ("YPlus", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the YPlus website (yplusapp.com) and the YPlus application (app.yplusapp.com). We are committed to processing data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cyprus data-protection law.
Who we are (Data Controller)
YPlus is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy request, contact us at support@yplusapp.com.
What we collect
Account data: when you create an account you provide an email address and authentication credentials.
App content: the classes, students, lessons, and homework marks you create. This is stored on your device and, when you sign in, backed up to our cloud database.
Usage analytics: aggregated, cookieless analytics about pages visited and links clicked on this website (no tracking cookies, no cross-site profiling).
Technical data: your browser type and approximate region, used to keep the service secure and to choose your default language.
How we use your data
To provide the service — storing and syncing your classes and homework data across your devices.
To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To process subscription payments if you upgrade to Pro.
To understand, in aggregate, how the website is found and used, so we can improve it.
Legal bases
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the app), on the basis of your consent where applicable, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and improving it.
Processors we use
Supabase — secure cloud database and authentication for backup and sync.
RevenueCat and Stripe — subscription billing for Pro (card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store them).
Cloudflare — website hosting and content delivery.
Our privacy-friendly analytics provider — cookieless website analytics.
Data retention
We keep your account and content data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your data from within the app or by contacting us; backups are removed within a reasonable period afterwards.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@yplusapp.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
Children
YPlus is a tool for teachers. It is not directed at children, and accounts are intended for educators. Teachers are responsible for any student names they enter and should avoid recording unnecessary personal data.
